Consultations for Review

If you do respond to a consultation, please ensure you identify yourself as a CPSIG member when responding to the College and also send a copy to cpsig@rcpch.ac.uk.

NICE Personal, social and health education: consultation on the evidence RCPCH invites CPSIG to comment on the evidence that has been assembled to inform the development of the NICE public health guidance, Personal, social and health education (PSHE) focusing on sex and relationships and alcohol education. The evidence comprises an evidence review, evidence tables and forest plots in each of three areas: primary education; secondary and further education; and community settings. The ten consultation documents may be downloaded hereSpecifically, please review the evidence and address the following:

  • Major gaps in the evidence reviews, including papers in the published literature that we have not been able to identify
  • Queries around the interpretation of the evidence, both of single studies and the reviewed material as a whole
  • The applicability of the evidence and its usefulness for the development of guidance
  • Issues relating to equity, equality and diversity

You may also submit relevant additional evidence. Please ensure the evidence is relevant to the questions set out in the scope for this guidance. We do not expect you to re-review the primary evidence; this is the remit of NICE. Please record your group’s comments, and any additional evidence, on this form and email it to the RCPCH by Sunday 14 March. Your comments will be reviewed and considered as part of the official RCPCH response to NICE.

 

NICE Pregnancy and complex social factors - consultation on draft clinical guideline RCPCH invites CPSIG to help the College by commenting on the draft version of the NICE clinical guideline on pregnancy and complex social factors. Specifically, we are requesting that carefully review the following consultation documents:

NICE/SCIE Looked after guidance – consultation on draft public health programme guidance RCPCH invites CPSIG to help the RCPCH by commenting on the draft version of the public health guidance, Looked after children. Please record comments on this form and email it to the RCPCH by Friday, 2 April. Comments will be reviewed and considered as part of the official RCPCH response to this consultation. In order to provide an evidence-based response, please include citations where possible to support your comments.

Support and Information Forum (SAIF)

Support and Information Forum (SAIF) is a secure, dedicated, web-based discussion forum exclusively for named and designated health professionals which has been developed by the Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP) in partnership with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Royal College of GPs, Royal College of Nursing and Royal College of Midwives.

Membership of the forum is through individual application with validation by Chief Executives of employing NHS organisations.
